Alba Support
Last updated: 1 August 2026
Alba is a habit and reward journey that parents set up for their children. Tasks earn points and experience, which grow a companion character and unlock new skills. This page answers the questions we are asked most often — if yours is not here, email us and a person will reply.
Getting started
Setting up the first child
A grown-up creates the account with an email address and password, names the family, then adds a child. A child never needs an email address or a login of their own. After that you can add tasks, or start from one of the ready-made task packs and edit it to suit your family.
Adding more children
Open the parent screens and add another child. Each child gets their own tasks, points, companion and progress; nothing is shared between them.
Adding another parent or a caregiver
From the parent screens you can invite up to two parents and two caregivers. Parents can do everything; caregivers can approve completed tasks but cannot change the reward economy or delete data.
Everyday questions
Points and experience are not the same thing
Points are the spendable currency — they go up when a task is approved and down when a reward is bought. Experience only ever goes up, and it drives levels and the companion's growth. This is deliberate: spending a reward should never cost a child the progress they have earned.
Approving a task
When a child marks a task done it goes to the grown-up for approval, with a photo attached if you turned photo proof on for that task. Approving it awards the points and experience.
When the day resets
Daily tasks and streaks reset at midnight in the time zone set on the family account. If you have moved, update the time zone in the parent settings so the reset happens at the right moment.
A streak was lost unfairly
A grown-up can award ad-hoc bonus points at any time, which is the simplest way to make good on a day that did not go to plan.
Account problems
I forgot my password
Choose Forgot password on the sign-in screen and we email you a numeric code. Enter the code exactly as it appears in the email — copy all of it, as the code is longer than six digits. Check your spam folder if it has not arrived after a minute.
I forgot the parent PIN
The PIN locks the grown-up screens on a shared device. If you have lost it, sign out and sign back in with your email and password, which lets you set a new PIN.
Notifications are not arriving
Check that notifications are enabled for Alba in the iOS Settings app, and that the daily reminder and weekly summary are switched on in Alba's parent settings.
Deleting your account and data
Open Alba, go to the parent screens, and choose Delete account and all data. This is immediate and permanent. It removes the family and every child in it, along with all tasks, photos, points, levels, streaks, skills and reward history. It cannot be undone and we keep no archived copy.
If you cannot get into the app to do this, email support@way2goalba.com from the address on the account and we will delete it for you.
Privacy
Alba contains no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Children are never asked for an email address or any contact detail, and there is no chat or social feature of any kind. The full privacy policy explains exactly what is collected and why.
